The heart of children's ministry at our church is to teach kids about who God is and how God's word applies to their lives in creative and memorable ways. We want kids to know that the Bible is full of interesting stories that matter in their lives today, that fun and games are definitely allowed at church, that there are adults in the church who truly want to love and lead them closer to Jesus. In other words, we want them to know that where God is, life is a lot more fun! For New Hope's Scholarship Application for Luther Park Bible Camp, download the document under Luther Park below.

We believe that junior high and high school students in our midst are world changers in the making. We want to guide our students in developing a personal faith in Christ as they step into their specific roles in the story God is writing in their lives. Confirmation is a two year program. Worship/Sermon Notes. Students begin in 7th grade. We teach the faith, and engage the students in conversation about how faith fits into their lives. One year is a concentration on the Bible, where we go through from beginning to end. The second year is a focus on the Small Catechism - The Lord's Prayer, The Ten Commandments, and The Apostles Creed. Students affirm their baptism at the end of the second year. We have plenty of engaging events and gatherings designed to build the faith and community of our adults as well. Bible studies, men's and women's groups, and ongoing fellowship opportunities are available. We have a very active Quilters group that meets most Monday mornings throughout the year.
We love to celebrate baptisms with families! If you need more information call or email the church office about dates and times.
If you're planning a wedding, and would like New Hope to be a part of your day, call or email the church office for more information.
The New Hope Comforters usually exceed the 1,000 mark in quilts made annually. 1,018 were made in 2017. Some are distributed locally, and 740 were given to Lutheran World Relief (LWR). In addition the group supplied 125 personal care kits, 158 baby care kits, 183 school kits, and 6 fabric kits to LWR. A special collection was also taken for Project Comfort, to help fund shipping costs of LWR. Supplies are also sent to Global Health Mission, including hospital gowns, lab coats, devotional booklets, AIDS/Hospice kits, newborn kits, and boxes of bandages. Join them on Monday mornings in the Fellowship Hall at the Sand Creek site. A good cause, good fellowship, and there's always good food!

Emmelee Shipley, Grace Neilsen, and Billy Messinger celebrated their Affirmation of Baptism at New Hope on May 19. "Father in heaven, for Jesus' sake, stir up in them the gift of your Holy Spirit; confirm their faith, guide their lives, empower them in their serving, give them patience in suffering, and bring them to everlasting life."
