Children
First Communion Class - contact the pastor or the church office
The heart of children's ministry at our church is to teach kids who God is and how God's word applies to their lives in creative, memorable ways. We want kids to know the Bible is full of interesting stories that matter in their lives today, that fun and games are definitely allowed at church, that there are adults in the church who truly want to love and lead them closer to Jesus. In other words, we want them to know that where God is, life is a lot more fun!
Students
We believe junior high and high school students in our midst are world changers in the making. We want to guide our students in developing a personal faith in Christ as they step into their specific roles in the story God is writing in their lives. Confirmation is a two-year program with students beginning in 7th grade. We teach the faith, engaging students in conversation about how faith fits into their lives. One year is concentration on the Bible, where we go through from beginning to end. The second year is a focus on the Small Catechism - The Lord's Prayer, The Ten Commandments, and The Apostles Creed. Students affirm their baptism at the end of the second year.
Adults
Plenty of engaging events are designed to build faith and community of our adults. Bible studies, men's and women's groups, and ongoing fellowship opportunities are available.
Sacrament of holy baptism
We love to celebrate baptisms with families! For more information call or email the church office about dates and times.
Weddings
If planning a wedding, and would like New Hope to be a part of your day, contact the church office for more information.
Our Missionary in GUYANA
Schneider_Jamaica_profile_2021.pdf
Carolyn’s home synod is South-Central Synod of WI and home base when she returns for assignment.
In March 2024 , she moved from Jamaica to Guyana, working as a Lutheran Identity Professor & Pastoral Ministry Advisor. An updated profile is forthcoming to reflect her new position.
We established sponsorship with Carolyn February/March 2024 after our long-term former missionary, Rev. Philip Knutson and his wife Lou from South Africa retired in 2023.
New Hope Comforters
New Hope Comforters usually exceed their 1,000 annual goal sewing quilts. Some are distributed locally, and many are given to Lutheran World Relief (LWR). Additionally, the group supplies over 100 personal care kits, over 150 baby care kits, over 150 school kits, and some fabric kits to LWR. A special "Project Comfort" monetary collection helps fund shipping costs. Supplies are also sent to Global Health Mission: hospital gowns, lab coats, AIDS/Hospice kits, newborn kits, and bandages. Join them Monday mornings from 8a - noon in our Sand Creek site fellowship hall. Good cause, good fellowship, and always good food!
Located on Prairie Lake, our neighborhood camp is a valued ministry partner.
New Hope Camp Scholarship Applications due in the church office by March 1, 2024.
Youth must also be registered at Luther Park by March 1, 2024.
New Hope is part of The Northwest Synod of Wisconsin, which is one of 65 synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. It is comprised of 199 congregations, over 93,000 members, and over 300 rostered ministers. Synod means walking together, which describes our interdependent ministry relationship.
